Off-Grid Glamping in the Catskills

Bellfire is a small off-grid glamping retreat in Roxbury, New York, a handful of handmade camps spread across a meadow and forest in the northern Catskills. Open sky. Tall trees. Seasonal light. You come for the quiet and stay for the way the place slows you down.

The four camps, two cabins and two canvas retreats, were built by hand and run on minimal solar. No cars, no crowds, just woodsmoke, dark skies, and a cedar sauna that looks out on the mountains. This is glamping in the Catskills the way it should feel, close to nature and far from the noise.

A Forest Retreat Built Into the Land. A gentle pause from the pace of everyday life.

❋ Rooted in Place

Tucked between meadow and maple forest in Roxbury, NY. Open sky. Tall trees. Seasonal light. Spaced for privacy and quiet.

❋ A Slower Rhythm

Morning coffee in the sun. Forest walks. Open air cooking. Sauna heat, cold plunge, firelight, dark skies. No schedule, just the natural pace of being outside.

❋ Off-Grid, By Design

Minimal solar electricity. No cars at the camps.
A short walk in that shifts you out of noise and into stillness. It’s about returning to what feels real.

❋ A Living Ecosystem We Care For Daily

We practice low-impact development, tend meadow and forest, and operate with deep respect for the watershed we’re part of.

Bellfire is for guests who crave quiet, beauty, and nature.

Stay in the Landscape

Handcrafted glamping camps in the Catskills, each one distinct and designed for rest, quiet, and deep immersion in nature.

Built by Artists. Shaped by Landscape.

Cabins and canvas camps.
Woven willow fences.
Meandering paths.
Sun decks, sauna, cold plunge.
A kitchen garden and small store.

All designed and built by us, slowly, over time — using locally sourced and upcycled materials whenever possible and building lightly within the landscape.

Small by design.
Shaped by care, not expansion.
